Welcome to Pacific Yachting & Sailing, located in Santa Cruz, California, the "Gateway to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary!"

Since 1979, Pacific Yachting and Sailing has introduced thousands of students and accomplished sailors to the excitement and pleasures of the Monterey Bay and Pacific Ocean. Located in Northern California, in the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, you have instant access to one of the premier sailing venues on the West Coast-perhaps the world!

The Monterey Bay is part of the Monterey Bay National Marine sanctuary; a Federally protected marine area offshore of California's central coast.

The steady and consistent winds, the special quality of open ocean sailing, the abundance and variety of sealife, and the diversions offered by the cities of Santa Cruz and Monterey make the our Monterey Bay Sailing location one of the most challenging and enjoyable locations on the West Coast.

Frequent sightings of grey whales, seals, sea lions, dolphins, otters and pelicans are just a part of your Santa Cruz Sailing Instruction adventure with Pacific Yachting and Sailing.

The Monterey Bay also offers many protected areas for the beginning sailor to practice new skills before venturing out into the more challenging open ocean. Sailing here on the Pacific Ocean prepares sailors to confidently handle challenging conditions anywhere in the world!

Pacific Yachting and Sailing offers a variety of sailing instruction programs from Basic to Offshore Sail Training . Our extensive fleet of 16 sailing vessels, range in length from 27' - 46', are also available for Bareboat Charter, Corporate Team-Building, and Skippered Charters.

Sailing gives us all the opportunity to enjoy and respect the freedom that the open ocean has to offer. Whatever your interests in sailing-to become a worldwide ocean cruiser, racer, or simply messing around in boats on the weekend--Pacific Yachting and Sailing is here to help you turn your dreams into reality.
